Here's an amazing example of a house in England that uses passive solar, solar panels and a wood burning stove. They recycle, grow a lot of their food, and have a functioning beneficial ecosystem in one property.

The rainwater collecting feature goes from the roof, into a pond and then out to water the fruit trees and shrubs.

This unusual house uses less than 40% of the energy of houses like it, and has a swimming pool that's heated from extra heat in the solar panels.
