I am a week and a half old and still growing up! The last few weeks/ months have been spent exploring with the phone companies and services ...

How does one land a good number to place on the signs out in front of a Dagny's Real Estate listing? I felt that it was fairly important that a customer could drive by at a normal pace and read my phone number off of my sign.

I started a month and a half ago by stopping by Verizon, where I have my families' cell phone service. I figured that I would get a nice number to attach to an old cell phone and forward that set of calls always to my regular cell. That way, I would get all calls, no matter where I was. (At the moment, I am a one lady virtual office.) So, diligently, every other day, when in the area, I would stop in to check numbers. Only one number per exchange would come up randomly by the computer each time I went. The numbers really were the worst! And I was getting no where FAST!

I finally gave up on that idea, and called Cablevision, since they have our computers, TVs and one phone line. They also did random numbers, but at least pulled up 10 each day. We went through all of the numbers available, and "Sigh" - I quit them too.

Next, and last, was ATT, who we have our land line with. I had to pay more with the business line, but at least I now have a decent number for my signs for Dagny's Real Estate -

Woo Hoo!!!! This has been such an extremely long process - ugh! But, I am happy now and celebrating!!!! My husband is so tired of hearing, "I am so happy - I got my number!!!" "I am so happy - I got my number!!!"

Now I can print my business cards, print postcards to announce, have my signs made, etc. So much has been waiting for THAT number.
