Does It Feel Any Different? A Half a Million Points!

I fully expected it would feel amazingly different. Thanks, Active Rain, for all you have given me.

Just the other day, my husband, Kirk, remarked to me just how excited I was when I had accummulated 10,000 points on Active Rain! It was a HUGE milestone at that point, since I was just learning how to write, and even more difficult, how to write a blog post. OMG! Each word, no - ... each letter that was written was painful and embarrassing. I was terrified someone would actually see what I had written and critique me.

It was with the encouragement of Bryant Tutas and Fred Carver that I signed up and began this journey.

It didn't take me long to realize that we are all out there trying our best, and no criticisms came. Then a post got featured! Whoa! That was very encouraging! Then, the awakening! I realized that my phone was beginning to ring with consumers looking for help with their real estate issues. That's why I was blogging, and they were reading! And it has been very rewarding, with many buyers and sellers over the years that I can attribute directly to my blogs.

It's been a fun trip so far, with Rain Camps (sorry to see them end), Meet ups, webinars, contests (which teach us to stay the course doing the things we should), and sooo many great friendships established here. I have learned so much from so many, and will continue to learn every day.

By being able to speak with Brokers across the country, I was able to muster the courage, conviction, and know-how to open my own brokerage last year - Dagny's Real Estate. What a great resource to tap into all of that experience and knowledge from all over. I still pick up the phone to ask questions - no matter how silly, because I know we have all "been there" .....

So, does it feel differently today vs. yesterday? No, but it's like growing up - you look back, and realize how much you have learned and grown, and also know that you need to "Pay it Forward" to the Newbies, so they can have the same rewards. And, now, I can look forward to the incredible growth and sharing that I know will follow in the next several years on my way to ONE MILLION POINTS! WHOA! THAT is scary!!!!
