Glen Ridge / River Condos in Wilton CT 06897

The center of Wilton has several condo complexes on River Road, all are very walkable to stores, the train, restaurants, movies, etc. One of these extraordinary condo complexes is named Glen River, I think.

However, as one drives through the center of Wilton, you can see that there are a lot of condominium complexes with the same first name. On the left one sees Glen Side East, on the right one sees Glen River , and as you drive in, you are greeted with another sign of Glen View, and then Glen Ridge. It is always very confusing when trying to meet a client there, as they do not know where to go. Apparently, each section has its own name.

The Glen Side East is across the road, on the southeast side of River Road, sharing the entrance road to Ogden House (which is an apartment house for over 55 year-olds, with loads of great community events- lunches, speakers, craft events, etc. every week!) River Road has its name because it follows the Norwalk River through town.

The Glen River and Glen Ridge are on the right as you head out of town, and a much larger group of condominiums. Very nice also, and solidly built. Many clients have preferred these over others in town.

These condominiums have held their real estate value solidly in this unsteady market of the last several years.

As you drive in, you pass Glen River condos on the left, overlooking the river. On the right, is Glen Ridge, because it is on the ridge. Next, around and up above all are the others named Glen View.

There are over 100 units, some of them are 1 bedroom, 1 bath with 845 square feet, and then the larger units have 2 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths with as much as 1519 square feet.

Many of the units have decks, vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, skylights, and fireplaces. Some have been updated with granite counters, tile floors, and new appliances, and others are not. The units are all air conditioned with heat pumps and built between 1984 and 1986. Their prices today for homes for sale range from $250,000 to $459,000.

Aside from these units, Wilton's other condominium complexes in town include Wilton Crest, Village Walk, Grumman Hill Village, Wilton Hills, Wilton Acres, Wilton Hunt, Crowne Pond, Silvermine Woods, and Lambert Common.
