The Wilton Family YMCA has been a landmark in Wilton, CT for many years. The facility has been in town as long as I have lived here (1973), and has been a wonderful resource for families and residents to grow. They have taught the children and adults all manner of activities.

The Wilton Family YMCA provides classes after school for the children in all kinds of activities. There are swim lessons, diving lessons, gymnastics classes, paddle tennis classes, fishing activities in the spring, basketball in the winter, after school programs for the children of working parents, etc.

The children can attend summer camps, that are divided up by age groups, weeks in the summer, and differnt types of activities, such as just fun, science programs, lego programs, etc.

There are also nursery school programs, and pre nursery school programs. These are wonderful programs that use the facilities and are limited by the state guidelines for numbers, but also are grouped by age. Wonderful and very popular.

There are workout facilities that are constantly being updated with the most current and up to date equipment for adults and children alike. The facilities are always busy with members and non members alike.

Wilton is a wonderful place to live with many wonderful things to do. We have farmers' markets, farms that have been donated to the town for education and fresh food purposes, historical society programs, swimming facilities for the public, 12 tennis courts to play on, tennis facilities (Four Seasons), lots of restaurants, shops galore, and a beautiful town to be proud of.

The recent ranking of the nation’s high schools published by U.S. News & World Report, Connecticut is distinguished with 11 Gold Medal schools*, 24 Silver Medal schools, and 4 Bronze Medal schools. Of the top 10 half were in the 26th district. Weston, Ridgefield, Wilton High Schools along with Joel Barlow High School in Redding and Staples High School in Westport were recognized.
