The Town of Wilton CT 06897 will start cleaning up the town after the incredibly destructive storm last week. They are asking residents to please pile their debris and branches by the side of the road, not in the road, and the town DPW crews will be by to chip and take away the piles. They will begin next week, and over the next 4-6 weeks, will make one pass at each street in town.
The Town of Wilton's Department Of Public Works will start this coming Monday and chip as much as possible, and will take away the larger limbs, etc. They are asking that folks not pile anything in the streets, but rather at the side of the street, so they can easily chip the limbs.
In my thirty-eight years of living in Wilton, I have never been aware of an announcement of this type before.
