Founded in 1640, Norwalk is a small city of 83, 802. It is home to several well known corporations, 6,000 small businesses, sandy beaches on Long Island Sound, and golf courses. It is also home to the famous SONO area with its funky shops, well reviewed restaurants and the Maritime Aquarium with its IMAX theatre. Norwalk is where the annual Oyster Festival takes place.

During the 19th century and the early twentieth century Norwalk was one of the leading producers of oysters in the country. Norwalk provides easy access to New York City by railroad or Freeway and the towns of Connecticut’s famous “Gold Coast” are nearby with their upscale shopping and eateries.
