Merrill and Florence Beach, who honored their son and 21 other Trumbull residents who were killed in World War II. Featured in the park is Monument Circle, which has a boulder with a plaque listing the 22 names, as well as a flagpole honoring Army Air Corps Lieutenant Richard F. Moore, Jr. Also in monument circle is a 155 mm Howitzer artillery piece with a plaque expressing Howitzer’s wish that all weapons of war will have their barrels and breaches welded shut.
Robert G. Beach Memorial Park is also a great place for hiking, with many hiking trails and even a camping site commonly used by boy scouts. Also in the park is a swimming pool and sprinkler park to cool off during those hot summer days. The pool has a graduated end for younger children and the park also features a “tot lot,” making Beach Memorial Park a great place for young families to enjoy. In the winter, skating at the pond near Monument Circle is a fun winter activity. Beach Memorial Park is a wonderful place for the entire family, all year round.
