White Silo Farm and Winery is a popular getaway in Sherman CT. Here you can harvest berries, walk the fields, or go to a wine tasting.
Operating originally as a pick your own berry farm, White Silo Farm opened a winery in 1990. Located in Shelton, Connecticut, you can come to the farm and winery to harvest berries, walk the fields, or go to a wine tasting.
Open for wine tasting April through December, you can visit the winery and see how wine fermented, bottled, and corked. At the winery, you can either bring your own lunch or eat one of the farm’s gourmet boxed lunch and cheese plate to enjoy along with a glass of wine. The winery features sparkling, dry, and semi-sweet wine as well as sangria.
If you’re looking to host a private event, you can book it at the winery. For less than 50 guests, you can host a birthday party, engagement party, wedding, corporate event, or even an intimate dinner party.
White Silo Farm and Winery also makes an award winning mustard. Called White Silo Mustard, you can find it online or in local retail stores. These mustards are made from fresh fruit with a spicy homemade Dijon mustard base. Two new flavors, red raspberry and blackberry have been added to the original quince, black currant, and rhubarb flavors. During the harvest seasons, White Silo Farm also offers small batches of jams for sale.
