The Wilton Playshop has been providing the town of Wilton with great theater since 1937. The Playshop is run entirely by volunteers, many of whom work in producing, directing, stage management, design, costumes, and more. The Playshop performs three major productions each year while also offering youth productions as well as casino and cabaret nights.
Recent productions put on or hosted by the Wilton Playshop include Sweet Charity, A Christmas Story, Pippin, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Romeo and Juliet. When shows are not being performed, the Playshop is available to be rented out for lectures, meetings, shows, and concerts.
For those interested in performing, the Wilton Playshop welcomes those with and without experience on the stage. If you prefer to work behind the scenes, the Playshop is always looking for help, whether it’s for one performance or several. From working on set construction or costumes to stage management, there is something for everyone.
