Easton CT is a conveniently located town in central Fairfield County, with ease of access to the Merritt Parkway for commuting via Rt 59 , 58 or 136 South bound. Easton CT is surrounded by the towns of Trumbull and Monroe to the East, Redding and Newtown to the North, also Weston and Fairfield to the West and South. Easton is just outside of the busy town of Fairfield and in terms of mass transit, there are two train stations located in Fairfield for the New Haven line of the Metro North Railroad.
Easton CT was incorporated in Fairfield County in 1845 with a population of roughly 7,500 for the 2010 census. The area of Easton CT developed rather slowly because of the rough land forms along the Aspetuck River, which made farming difficult and slowed the transportation. Today Easton offers an amazing and unique rural lifestyle with lots of open spaces, fields and farm stands.
Easton CT is broken up into several neighborhoods that include Easton Center, Aspetuck and Plattsville .
