For the month of May 2011, we at Dagny's Real Estate will post one post per day explaining how you should prepare your home for sale.
Google their name like "Dagny Eason Wilton CT" - see if they are extremely active online.
Ask what they will DO FOR YOU and during the interview see if they are selling themselves or listening to you and try to see what they do to market real estate online.
Then What?
Have a face-to-face meeting with your new Realtor, and make sure that you are comfortable with her/him. Meet at a coffee shop, for example, and discuss what their background is, and discuss your needs. If you are still comfortable and happy, arrange a meeting at your home to begin the process of getting the house ready for market.
When you have found an agent this way, you also know that the agent is well versed in using the internet for the marketing of your home for sale. That is a very important key element that will be discussed later in the month in this series.
